Mr. Henigin is the Director of Bands and Choirs at Shade-Central City School District.

Mr. Henigin graduated in August of 2020 with a Bachelor's degree in Music Education and in May of 2026 with a Master of Arts both from the Indiana University of Pennsylvania. He is currently certified to teach music in two states; Pennsylvania and Virginia. This is Mr. Henigin's sixth year teaching at Shade. Previously, Mr. H worked at Grace E. Metz Middle School in Manassas, VA as a music technology and guitar teacher. Mr. H has also worked with the award-winning  Southmoreland Marching Band (Alverton, PA) from 2017-2021 as well as teaching private lessons through the IUP Community Music School. Mr. H has enjoyed teaching and impacting students of all ages and ability levels and he looks forward to the opportunity to do so in the present and future. 

Outside of music, Mr. H enjoys spending time with his wife and family, as well as hunting, fishing, and wood-working.
